About

I build systems where mechanical design, electronics, and software have to agree with each other: animatronics driven by real-time speech models, PLC-controlled material handling, and autonomous mobile robots.

B.S. Mechatronics Engineering with a Computer Science minor, California State University Channel Islands, December 2025. Program Honors.

Projects

Capstone Fall 2025

Ekho: Interactive AI Robotic System

An animatronic dolphin that holds a spoken conversation in real time.

Details
  • Led development and managed technical direction and project timelines.
  • Designed the system architecture across Fusion 360, 3D printing, electrical circuit design, and embedded deployment on a RaspberryPi.
  • Implemented real-time speech-to-speech interaction using OpenAI GPT models.
Course Project Spring 2025

PLC Conveyor Belt System

A prototype conveyor line driven by ladder logic and IR sensor feedback.

Details
  • Designed a prototype conveyor belt system in Fusion 360 with emphasis on mechanical layout and component integration.
  • Programmed an Allen-Bradley PLC to operate and manage product flow dependent on IR sensor feedback.
Course Project Spring 2025

Autonomous Parking Mobile Robot

A mobile robot that parks itself using PID control, ultrasonic ranging, and vision.

Details
  • Developed a mobile robot capable of autonomous parking using PID-controlled behavior with ultrasonic sensors, computer vision via PixyCam, and odometry.
  • Collaborated with teammates to tune control parameters, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and program an Arduino-based controller for real-time motor and sensor control.
Research Apr – Jul 2026

Embodied AI Lab Assistant

Special Consultant, CSUCI, extending the capstone prototype toward publication.

Details
  • Researched an embodied AI robotic lab assistant, developed further from the capstone project, refining the prototype for formal publication and educational group study research.
  • Served as lead author on a research paper documenting system design, methodology, testing, study findings, and engineering outcomes.
